Ron Lake - Fine Art Photographer

As an artist, I hold an M.F.A. in Fine Art Photography from Pratt Institute and have been involved in this medium for over 20 years. I am both an instructor of photography and a life long student of the art form. I also teach and participate in International workshops. My photographs are presently showcased in numerous galleries and private collections.

As an artist, I am always looking for the cutting edge in technique and technology. During the summer of 2000 while in Provence, I was introduced to the revolutionary Iris Giclee printing process. In the past five years, I have been hard at work creating my European portfolio in which I combine my passion for the old world landscape, the magical light and this highly technical archival printing process to make large photographs. All of my portfolios, past and present, showcase innovation but not before the hands of the artist imbibe them with the spirit of being there.

Recent awards include Spectra 04, The National Triennial in Photography for my Tuscan image, Verso La Ca'Solare, at the Silvermine Arts Guild. I've also been accepted in national juried shows such as The National Prize Show and The Art of the Northeast where my image from Provence, Abbaye de Senanque, was mentioned in The New York Times.

I originate from Boston and currently reside in Westport, CT.
